To my favorite "Rochestarians": So sorry you had snow today:( It was 75 here! It was a great day for some fun in the sun. We started off the morning (Julie and I) attending church with Dad and Martha as they got welcomed as members into their new church here on the Island. I am not sure if I have been around more supportive and caring people in my life, especially because really we are pretty much strangers still. It is amazing how quickly these wonderful people warmed up to our family and the numerous ways that they display their support-simply amazing. Church was a little bit difficult for me to get through but helped me to realize just how important this support system is for my parents and the faith that they need right now is a necessity. After church we drove into the "mainland" (as they call it!) for brunch at a restaurant called High Cotton. Lovely brunch with the four of us, followed by a little shopping at the Charleston market. Later on, we took a great carriage ride through Charleston and learned all about the great history behind the beautiful city. When we got back, we rode our bikes down to the beach once again to check out the sunset and saw dolphins!! Great way to end our day. Looking forward to 78 degree weather tomorrow and a beach day just hanging out. I keep thinking about how hard Thursday will be to leave this great place, but I am so lucky to have gotten this chance to come. That's all for now-I will update tomorrow!! ***Lindsay Lu
We are so excited to welcome you as new members of Edisto Beach Baptist Church and Edisto Island which we consider "a little piece of Paradise".
I noticed that you said "you all" in your blog!!!! It doesn't take long to get the "hang" of things in the South.
All of us new what special people you are the first time we met you. We look forward to getting to know you better in the days ahead. Just know that you are in the thoughts and prayers of many people on a daily basis.

Hare, we appreciate the welcoming arms and God's love that your congregation have shown to Dan and Martha. There are many, many, many people who they have touched and we are all a little anxiuos about this turn in their lives. They had a huge party to say goodbye to all of their dear friends when they moved and we were all so happy that they were going to be able to finally build their dream home and enjoy their lives together.
You have no idea how large their circle of friends is! They are loving and faithful friends to so many people and I guess it is our turn to step up. Please keep those prayers going and we will see a miracle!!.
Aw.. another day in Paradise..Folks are just nicer in the south.. I love North Carolina, but its much prettier where you folks are....enjoy!
