Good morning everyone, it has been a very long week for Dan. The mouth sores that he has been experiencing have made it impossible for him to eat. I could not even feel good about forcing him to eat the day after really looking into his mouth. Dr. Ellison thought that Dan should go on IV nutrition, so Tuesday thru Friday this week Dan is receiving 2000 calories a day thru IV at the chemo center, that way he can sleep at home. It takes about 6 to 8 hours to accomplish this, so long days. Yesterday we went outside of the box and had a dentist do a laser therapy on the mouth sores in hopes to encourage healing( so far not any really difference ). They think it might be two days before we see any difference.
Martha & Dan,
So sorry that Dan (and you) are having to deal with mouth soars. Hopefully, and backed by prayers, may the dentist's laser procedure heal Dan's mouth. Our prayers continue to pour out to you both.

I hope by the time you receive this message things are looking up for you Dan. With Martha's usual determination and spirit I'm sure she's helping you in that direction. You are very much on our mind and in our prayers.

Even though you don't hear from me often (have been involved with Jim's health issues and caring for my older brother) you have been in my prayers through out this long journey.
You have shown such stamina with each hurdle you have had to face. May you continue to be strong as the Master Physician guides those involved in your care and may the love from your family and friends comfort you as you seak relief and healing from this latest treatment. Blessings, peace and love, Phyllis Godette
