I am hoping that this is the last time that I will be writing on the blog. I am hoping that one of the kids will take this task over. It would appear that I have not been able to keep up, and I am very sorry. The site was set up so that we can get information out to all of you in a timely fashion. It has just become to much for me. I would be happier to spend my time with Dan and enjoying our life and get rid of this project. You are all so important to us and should be able to hear what is going on. I will try to get you up to the minute.
The last time I wrote, Dan was in the hospital, we did get home on December 6. We came home with the help of hospice care, once we understood what the would mean to us, the better we felt. Hospice has given us more support than we had before. We now have available at home, oxygen when we need it, a nebulizer to help better breathing, a great nursing team and they are connected to a 24/7 medical staff. Dr. Ellison is still the head of our team and we will be seeing him on January 2. Dan is still not receiving chemo as we are still dealing with the pressure ulcer on his tush, which is constantly giving him pain. We are still under the care of Dr Simpson and his amazing PA Ryan for Dan's ulcer. Things have become more difficult as Dan just does not feel very well, ever. He is not interested in any type of food, stopped drinking wine and we do not get outside very often. A car ride is so very painful and enjoying riding in the golf cart is a curent thing of the past. It is a constant roller coaster.
We do wish all of you a wonderful New Year, moments that you find special and time for each other. God is good and we are so thankful that he remembers us everyday. We know that we would not be able to go on without his help and the strength we receive from him. We are so thankful for all of you and again love to hear from you. We are so happy to have all of you in our life. Remember how blesse
