Since I last wrote, we had a great visit with Lindsay, that really went way to fast (even though she was able to stay a few extra days, thanks James). We had a great time with her here. ( I promise to get some pictures up soon). Something about that sister bond, I think it might have gotten even stronger during this visit.
Dan's cousin Stevie and his wife Sharon were here for a visit as well. They all had a great time remembering great family times. A lot of laughs, we were glad to see them.
Then my best friend Susan flew in from Texas. Talk about laughs, it had nothing to do with pelicans and green poop, well maybe two of them thought it was funny. She was able to meet her great God daughter and see my mom, Stefanie and Julie. We had a great time out to lunch while our dear friend Jeff Greer sat with Dan at Chemo.
As I last had written, Dan has restarted Chemo at a 20% reduction of the drug in hopes to ward off some of the awful side effects. His blood counts are ready good, Dr Ellison even asked if he had a blood transfusion on the way into chemo last week. With that said, Chemo has been difficult this week, he is very weak and fatigue is at the highest it has been. He is eating well and no mouth sores at this time. When he saw the specialist, he was placed on a new antibiotic and we think that his breathing seems to be a little better, she felt that was all the intervention needed at this point. We are hoping to get outside today for a short walk or a ride in the golf cart.
Today during church, Robin's message was about finding joy and looking past the current problems you might be going thru. I am struggling with that message today, however, the Joy in my heart is in the love that Dan and I share together, with our family and all of our friends. So thank you for helping me find that joy today. Tomorrow I might need a little more help, so please let us keep hearing from you.
